FAQs

What types of pearls do you use in your jewelry?
We work with a curated selection of high-quality freshwater pearls in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and colors — from classic round and baroque to Edison, from bold 26 mm baroque pearls to delicate 2 mm mini pearls. Each is handpicked for its luster, shape, and surface quality, ensuring every piece is both beautiful and enduring.

Will my pearls look exactly like the ones in the photos?

Due to the natural origin of pearls, variations in shape, size, color, and surface texture are inherent and should be expected. These characteristics are not flaws but a testament to each pearl’s authenticity and individuality. No two pearls are exactly alike, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Are your pearls natural or cultured?
All our pearls are cultured — grown under natural conditions but with human care and oversight. This allows us to offer beautiful, sustainable pearls at more accessible prices than natural pearls, which are extremely rare.

How do freshwater pearls differ from saltwater pearls?
Freshwater pearls are grown in mussels in rivers and lakes, often displaying a wide variety of shapes and colors. Saltwater pearls (such as Akoya, Tahitian, or South Sea) are grown in oysters in the ocean and are usually more spherical with higher prices. High-quality freshwater pearls can rival the luster of saltwater pearls.

What are Edison pearls?
Edison pearls are large, round freshwater pearls created using advanced culturing techniques developed in China. They’re known for their exceptional size, high luster, and rich colors, often comparable to South Sea pearls.

What are baroque pearls?
Baroque pearls are naturally irregular in shape, giving each one a unique look full of character. They’re perfect for those who love distinctive, bold, and artistic jewelry.

How should I care for my pearl jewelry?
Pearls are delicate and should be treated gently.
– Wipe them with a soft cloth after each wear.
– Avoid direct contact with perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays.
– Store them separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching.
– If strung on silk, restring periodically (especially for necklaces worn often).

Do pearls change color over time?
With proper care, pearls maintain their beauty for decades. However, exposure to harsh chemicals or prolonged direct sunlight may dull their luster or alter their color.

How do I choose the right pearl size?
Pearl sizes range from tiny seed pearls (2–3mm) to large statement pearls (12mm+). Smaller pearls offer a delicate, everyday look, while larger pearls create a bold and luxurious style.

Are your clasps and findings hypoallergenic?
Yes. We primarily use sterling silver (S925), gold plating, and stainless steel for clasps and findings, which are durable and skin-friendly.
